Discover Matrix, our new collection of seven embroidered art patches designed in our Chicago studio by Isabelle Gougenheim. This series takes a more architectural direction, exploring mapping, cityscapes, and structure through a bold and colorful perspective.
Each patch is a wearable fragment of the original artwork, designed to be applied to your favorite garments and accessories—turning everyday pieces into collectible expressions of art.
This design is inspired by an original artwork, painted by Isabelle Gougenheim in her Chicago studio. Learn more about Isabelle's creative process here.
- Preheat your iron to a high heat setting (dry, no steam).
- Place the patch face up on your garment. Cover it with a press cloth to protect the fabric.
- Press the iron firmly on the patch for 45-60 seconds.
- Turn the garment inside out and apply heat from the back of the patch for another 20-30 seconds.
- Allow the patch to cool completely before wearing.
For a permanent attachment, especially on garments that are washed frequently, stitching around the edges is essential.
